Seahawks Special Teams Coach Used To Bleed Orange & Blue

NEW YORK (CBS4) - Imagine coaching against a team that you grew up rooting for. That's the situation for Brian Schneider, the special teams coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks.

Schneider grew up in Arvada and played football at Pomona High School. He also played linebacker and then coached for the CSU Rams.

"I remember going to church as a family, going home, mom cooking pot roast and us watching the Broncos. We kind of grew up that way. All of my family and friends are still back in Colorado," Snyder said.

Snyder grew up in the 1980s, and for him former Broncos quarterback John Elway is a legend.

"It was actually cool, because when I started coaching, we went down to the Broncos and I met him. (Rams Head coach) Sonny Lubick knew him," he said.

The Broncos will play the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
