"It's important because it hones into one of our three key areas, and that's helping kids to live healthy lives. So this 5K run/walk encourages kids to get outside, to be active and have fun," Erin Porteous with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver said.

CBS4 was a proud sponsor of the event.
