School Bus Driver Seen Talking On Phone Before Crash

DENVER (CBS4) - Officials in the Denver School District say a school bus driver told investigators she fell asleep at the wheel before crashing into a parked car.

Surveillance video from inside the bus shows the driver, Nykeshia Gilliam, with her ear buds in and talking on the phone.

The crash happened earlier this month near 18th Avenue and Newport Street.

Eighteen students were on board, but none of them were hurt.

Gilliam is no longer with the district.
