School Board Director's Resignation Causes Shakeup
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) - There was a shakeup Wednesday within the Douglas County school system after school board director Doug Benevento resigned.
Benevento was elected to the school board twice. He represented Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch and Castle Pines.
On Tuesday night, Benevento, along with the rest of the school board, hired a new superintendent -- Erin Kane.
Kane currently serves as the executive director of schools for American Academy in Douglas County.
