Samaritan House Gets Generous Turkey Donation

DENVER (CBS4)- The Samaritan House in Denver received a big donation just in time for Thanksgiving.

Volunteers unloaded 3,000 turkeys that will help feed the homeless and less fortunate this holiday season.

The Mormon Church sent the delivery from Utah. Catholic Charities, which runs the Samaritan House, will also donate some turkeys to local parishes and food banks.

The Samaritan House hopes to receive about 2,000 more turkeys by Dec. 1.
