Salon's 'Pretty Paws For A Cause' Benefits 4-Legged Friends
DENVER (CBS4) - This Valentine's Day weekend you can get your feet groomed all while helping out a four-legged friend.
File-N-Style Salon is hosting its 3rd annual Pretty Paws for a Cause.
Patrons who choose to get pedicures will be donating to the nonprofit Big Dogs Huge Paws, which specializing in rescuing, rehabilitating and adopting out giant breed dogs.
"We bring in giant breed dogs that need to be rescued," Becky Ross with the nonprofit said.
For $78 two people can get side-by-side chocolate pedicures, complete with champagne and chocolate strawberries.
"Twenty of the proceeds will go to Big Dogs, Huge Paws," Ross added.
In addition patrons will get to meet one of the organizations newest rescues, Dakota,
"(He) is a great Pyrenees. We guess he is about 9 to 10 years old," Ross said.
The dog was only about 70 pounds when they found him in a shelter. The large dog should be around 125 pounds. He's now almost fully recovered and organization hopes to adopt him out soon.
The non-profit currently has about 85 dogs in care across the state.
