Special Counsel Appointed To Investigate Russian Influence
WASHINGTON (CBS4) - The Department of Justice is appointing a special counsel to investigate Russian influence in the presidential election.
CBS News reports that former FBI Director Robert Mueller will be the counsel.

Mueller was appointed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, since Attorney General Jeff Sessions has recused himself from the investigation.
Colorado Representative Mike Coffman (R) issued a statement on Twitter, calling the appointment a "smart move."
