Royal Gorge Bridge And Park Starts Weekend Tours

CANON CITY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Royal Gorge Bridge and Park will have a limited re-opening as planned this Saturday.

The park and bridge have been closed since last June, when the Royal Gorge Fire destroyed all but four of the park's 52 buildings.

On Saturday, March 15, the park will start guided tours through the construction area and across the suspension bridge. For now these tours will only be open on weekends and will cost $10.

Park officials hope to have a grand reopening in August, when Phase I of the rebuild is complete.
