Rooftop Terrace Proposed For Convention Center Expansion

DENVER (CBS4)- There could be a rooftop terrace coming to the Colorado Convention Center. The City of Denver wants to revamp the rooftop to create meeting spaces and an outdoor terrace.

Voters approved the $105 million for the project in 2015. The city is proposing a tax on hotels to pay for the rest of it.

The Denver City Council and the hotels still need to approve the idea.

The city says the expansion is necessary to keep the convention center competitive.
