Rockies Sign Betancourt To Minor League Deal

DENVER (AP) — The Colorado Rockies have agreed to terms with Rafael Betancourt on a minor league deal, the team announced via Twitter.

Betancourt is recovering from Tommy John surgery. He's been working out at the Rockies' spring training facilities in Arizona with hopes of returning to the team at some point this year.

Betancourt was 2-5 with a 4.08 ERA and 16 saves for the Rockies last season before tearing a ligament in his pitching elbow.
