Rockies Promote Butler From Minors To Start Vs. Padres

SAN DIEGO (AP) - The Colorado Rockies have recalled right-handed pitcher Eddie Butler from Triple-A to start Sunday against San Diego.

Butler was 3-6 with a 4.80 ERA in 11 starts earlier this season with the Rockies. He went 2-2 with a 6.27 ERA in six minor league starts at Albuquerque after being sent down on June 9.

Right-hander Chad Bettis, who pitched against the San Diego Padres on Saturday but didn't get a decision, was placed on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation.
