Rockies Hold Lottery For Opening Day Tickets

DENVER (CBS4) – The Colorado Rockies' Opening Day is less than two weeks away and fans are already getting their tickets.

On Saturday the team had a lottery for Opening Day Rockpile and Rooftop tickets. Hundreds of people showed up for a chance at the limited number of seats.

"It's the adult senior ditch day. It's ditching work and school and enjoying baseball and beer," said fan Andrew Impson.

Fans said it was worth braving the cold weather.

"Why not brave this cold for Rockpile tickets on Opening Day? It's a great experience," said fan Krystan McCord.

New to Coors Field this season is the rooftop deck which is a standing room only area. Tickets wills start at $14 and that includes a $6 concession or merchandise credit.
