Rockies Bring Back Entire Coaching Staff For 2016 Season

DENVER (AP) - The Colorado Rockies will bring back their coaching staff for the 2016 season after a year in which they finished last in the NL West.

Two weeks after manager Walt Weiss said he was returning to the bench, the team announced Tuesday there will be no major changes to his staff. Those coming back include bench coach Tom Runnells, hitting coach Blake Doyle, pitching coach Steve Foster, third base coach Stu Cole, first base coach Eric Young, defensive positioning coach Rene Lachemann and bullpen coach Darren Holmes.

Colorado finished with a 68-94 record in 2015 and 24 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. The pitching staff had a league-worst 5.04 ERA.

Nolan Arenado and Carlos Gonzalez led the Rockies on offense as they combined for 82 homers and 227 RBIs.
