Westbound I-70 Reopens At Vail After Rock Slide
VAIL, Colo. (CBS4) -- A rock slide shut down westbound Interstate 70 at Vail on Monday. The Colorado Department of Transportation reported the closure at 11 a.m.
About 20 minutes later, CDOT let one lane of traffic through the area, then closed the lanes again so crews can remove the rocks and assess whether they need to bring down loose rocks from the hillside.
No cars were damaged and no one was hurt in the rock slide.
A little after 12 p.m. CDOT cameras showed two lanes of traffic getting through the area.
