Robbery Suspect Has Police In Possible Standoff
DENVER (CBS4) – Several businesses had to be evacuated while a robbery suspect was in a standoff situation with police in Denver Sunday night.
A heavy police presence could be seen at Arkansas Avenue and Colorado Boulevard at the Second Spin record store.
According to police, there was a robbery attempt at the store and authorities are calling the situation a possible barricade involving the employees inside.
However, police say they are unsure if there is anyone inside the building but police showed up with a large hostage negotiation truck at around 4:30 p.m.
Authorities have been at the scene since around 2:30 p.m. trying to secure the area.
Police have not released any other information.
