GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- The rising levels of the Cache la Poudre River have closed a trail in Greeley.

Copter4 flew over the flooding on the river trail in Greeley on Thursday afternoon.

That trail is closed between 59th and 71st Avenue in Greeley until further notice.

"Hidden dangers can lie beneath the water," says Chris Scully, parks maintenance technician with the City of Greeley Parks Division. "Flooding happens. Please don't cross barriers or pass through flooded trails and associated open spaces. We can't stress enough to be smart, be safe and stay out of flooded areas."

Visit the city's website www.greeleygov.com/parks for period updates as trail conditions change.
