Reward Money For Poisoned Meatball Suspect Will Go To Charity

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Reward money being offered for information leading to a suspect in a poisoned meatball case in Boulder County will now go to charity since no suspects were found.

A $4,000 reward was offered for information leading to a suspect after three dogs got sick eating poisoned meatballs in a park in Gunbarrel last April.

The reward will now be split between the Longmont and Boulder Valley Humane Societies. Some money will also go to the Wounded Warrior Project to help pay for service dogs.

All the dogs that got sick from the meatballs have since recovered.
