Retired Military Dog To Get Life-Saving Surgery Thanks To CBS4 Viewers

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) - A retired military dog in Brighton is getting new hope Tuesday thanks to CBS4 viewers.

Kay is scheduled for lifesaving surgery on Tuesday. It's supposed to help fix fluid buildup around his heart.

Kay spent years in the military before being rescued from a shelter but his owners couldn't pay for the surgery.

Thanks to donations Kay will now have more time with his family.
