Report: Century Link, Level 3 Communications Merger In The Works

DENVER (CBS4)- A business merger may be in the works that puts a Colorado-based company in with a communications giant.

According to the Wall Street Journal, CenturyLink and Colorado-based Level 3 Communications are in advance talks to become one company.

The Journal reports the deal would combine Level 3's enterprise services and CenturyLink's consumer internet and telephone services.

Both companies declined to comment on possible merger talks.
