Repair Work Begins On Pena Boulevard Bridges

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver International Airport starts work Thursday on 10 bridges along Pena Boulevard between Interstate 70 and 64th Avenue.

Crews will first realign traffic along this stretch starting in the outbound direction Thursday night and then work overnight Friday into Saturday to place the inbound barriers.

DIA says that they will maintain two lanes of traffic each direction during the day, but expect single-lane closures in the evening.

The $3.3 million project will repair the 20-year-old bridges in either direction at:

- First Creek

- East 56th Avenue

- Green Valley Ranch Boulevard

- East 40th Avenue

- North Airport Boulevard
