Rep. Dan Pabon Arrested For Investigation Of DUI

DENVER (CBS4)- CBS4 has learned that Colorado State Representative Dan Pabon was arrested for investigation of DUI on Thursday night.

Police in Denver pulled over Pabon, 38, at Colfax Avenue and Glenarm on Thursday night. He was also cited for an improper turn and a license plate issue.

Officers arrested Pabon on investigation of DUI. According to the police probable cause statement, Pabon exhibited the following, slurred speech, mumbling, breath had strong odor of alcohol, balance was swaying, eyes bloodshot.

Pabon is a Democrat representing District 4 in Northwest Denver. He was elected in 2010 and took office in 2011. Pabon is an attorney.

Pabon released this statement regarding the incident: "On the evening of March 17th, I was pulled over by a member of the Denver Police Department. I fully cooperated with the officer's requests. And I will continue to remain fully cooperative throughout this process. I regret the distress this has caused my family, my friends and my constituents."

Court records show he was scheduled to appear in court April 18.
