Rep. Coffman Meets With Fiorina On Women's Issues

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. (AP) - Republican Rep. Mike Coffman met Saturday with former presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina at an event to talk about expanding business opportunities for women.

Coffman and the former CEO of Hewlett Packard both appeared at the Working Women Event & Panel at CSU Global Campus in Greenwood Village. Other businesswomen also attended the event, which was by invitation only.

Coffman faces a competitive challenge in Colorado's most ethnically diverse congressional seat.

His opponent, former state Senate President Morgan Carroll, issued a statement Saturday saying Coffman has repeatedly voted against women's issues, including the Paycheck Fairness Act, paid family leave funds for women's health care.

Carroll says Coffman is out of touch with the women in the community.
