Remains Of Missing 18-Year-Old Found In Mesa County

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - The remains of a Grand Junction teen missing since December have been found.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says the remains of 18-year-old Kelly Mae Myers were recovered Saturday in Cactus Park - a recreation area south of Grand Junction on the Uncompahgre Plateau. Investigators say her death is suspicious.

Myers' mother, Kim Lee, told KKCO-TV in January that her daughter had been involved with drugs in the past and that there was a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear in court when she disappeared.
