Red Cross Apologizes For Pool Poster

SALIDA, Colo. (CBS4)- The American Red Cross has apologized for a pool poster that some claim is racist.

The poster dates back to 2014 and was found hanging at a pool in Salida.

The poster depicts cartoon children in and around a pool doing things labeled "cool" and "not cool."

Some say many of the activities involving the non-white children were labeled not cool and the white children were labeled cool.

The Red Cross said it has removed the image from its website and app. The organization has also asked aquatic facilities to remove the posters.
