Hardy Graduates Of CU Boulder Braved Coldest Day In Over 100 Years

DENVER (CBS4) - Graduation day at CU Boulder was extra memorable this year, not only for the snow, but for the cold. Boulder's official thermometer topped out at a chilly 39 degrees Thursday, which set a new low maximum temperature record for the date.

Prior to Thursday, the coldest high temperature ever recorded in Boulder on May 9 was 45 degrees in 1917. Boulder's official snow total for May 9 was 2.3 inches.
