Clifton Man Faces 40 Sex Crime Charges For Alleged Abuse Of Children
CLIFTON, Colo. (CBS4) - Deputies in Mesa County have arrested a 77-year-old man they say is a habitual sex offender against children.
According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, Raymond Leonard of Clifton is accused of sexually assaulting two children over the span of several years. He was arrested last Saturday.
"The older of the two children described the years-long abuse in detail," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
The alleged incidents occurred in Clifton between Nov. 1, 2010 and May 31 of this year.
Leonard is being charged with more than 40 sex crimes.
