Ralston Valley Mustangs Pay Tribute To Fallen Trooper

ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - The football team at Ralston Valley High School will honor fallen Trooper Jaimie Jursevics Friday night by placing Colorado State Patrol decals on their helmets.

Trooper Jaimie Jursevics of the Colorado State Patrol was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver on Sunday night, and the decals will have Jursevics's number -- 4801.

A major with the CSP, Josh Downing, volunteers as the defensive coordinator for the Mustangs.

The team wanted to honor his law enforcement family by wearing the trooper symbol in their 5A state quarterfinals game against Valor Christian High School.
