Quincy Reservoir Closing Wednesday For Algae Prevention

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) -- A second Colorado reservoir is closing to prevent algae blooms from growing. Quincy Reservoir is planning to close Wednesday so crews can add hydrogen peroxide as a preventative.

Cherry Creek Reservoir closed its swimming area last week due to blue-green algae.  Colorado Parks and Wildlife says most of the algae is harmless, unless it gets out of control.
