Boaters Beware Of Quagga Mussels
SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Boaters heading to the water in Colorado are urged to inspect their boats before getting wet to reduce the threat of quagga mussels.
Boaters must have their boats inspected and possibly decontaminated of the mussel larvae.
The invasive species of quagga mussels have been found in Green Mountain Reservoir.
The nuisance species spreads quickly. The Bureau of Reclamation hopes to keep the mussels out of other reservoirs in Colorado.
