Pueblo City Council: No Recreational Pot Shops

PUEBLO, Colo. (CBS4)- Recreational pot shops won't be coming to Pueblo, at least for this year. The Pueblo City Council voted down a measure that would have allowed recreational pot shops in the city.

There is still a chance the retail marijuana shops could open because the city council has placed the issue in the hands of the voters.

People wearing yellow shirts to signify they supported a vote by the people showed up at Monday night's city council meeting.

The issue will most likely appear on the November ballot.
