Prosecutors Charge Man In Infant Son's Death

DENVER (AP) - Prosecutors in Denver have charged a 34-year-old man accused of causing the death of his 2-month-old son.

The Denver District Attorney's Office said Monday that Michael Herron has been charged with child abuse resulting in death. He is being held on $50,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

Prosecutors say Herron took his son D'Anthony to the hospital July 21, where doctors determined the boy's injuries were not the result of accidental trauma but were consistent with child abuse. D'Anthony died two days later.
