Property Tracker Says Denver Will Have Highest Rent Increase In U.S.

DENVER (CBS4) - A nationwide property tracker says Denver is expected to have the highest increase in rent than any other city in America.

Reis Incorporated says rents in Denver will likely increase 9.2 percent in 2015 and renters will pay a projected $1,300 a month this year.

The group says more people are leaving their parents or roommates for their own place as the job market gets better. People are also putting off buying homes, and most apartments being built are high-end apartments.
