How About A Prairie Dog Village In Longmont?

LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4)- A Longmont City Council woman has an idea to create a prairie dog village in the middle of town.
Joan Peck says too many times the city and private property owners have to relocate or kill unwanted prairie dog colonies.
She is suggesting moving the prairie dogs to a permanent spot, perhaps somewhere on vacant open space that is owned by Longmont.
Peck introduced the idea at Tuesday night's meeting, so the proposal has a long way to go before becoming a reality.
