Get Ready For Pot Shops In Longmont

LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4)- Longmont will be the next city in Colorado to open pot shops. The Longmont City Council approved the ordinance to get rid of the ban on marijuana shops at their meeting on Tuesday.

Longmont previously had a ban on both medical and recreational marijuana businesses.

With the approval, Longmont will allow four pot shops to open but only in commercial or industrial-zoned ares of the city. It could take a year for the city to select businesses and issue licenses.
