Portion of Highway 550 Remains Closed Near Durango Due To Rock Slide
DURANGO (CBS4) - Parts of a highway near Durango are set to open up Tuesday after a weekend rock slide closed down some of Highway 550.
Colorado Department of Transportation crews have already pushed most of the rocks off to the side to let traffic get by. The northbound lane is still blocked and is expected to open up Tuesday.
The rocks are so heavy workers will need to break them apart before they can clean up the slide.
