Police: Woman Called Planned Parenthood, Threatened GOP

DENVER (CBS4)- A woman has been arrested after police say she called a Planned Parenthood clinic and made threats against the Republican party.

Fern Delise from Fountain, located south of Colorado Springs, called a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs but was rerouted to the clinic in Denver. She allegedly made threats to the GOP.

The Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood clinic remains closed after last month's shooting.

She's accused of saying, "It is tempting to walk into a Republican party meeting with my dead husband's gun and just start shooting people."

Her statements prompted a call to police in both Denver and Fountain.

Police in Fountain searched her home and found ammunition but no guns.

A Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs was targeted on Nov. 27 when a gunman walked into the clinic, shot and killed three people including a police officer and left several others injured.

Police say they take any and all threats to organizations seriously.
