Police Want Victims Of Knife-Wielding Man Who Damaged Cars To Contact Them
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Boulder want to hear from anyone who may have had their cars damaged by a man with a knife on Saturday.
Investigators say William Carter, 49, stabbed the hood of one car stopped in traffic Saturday afternoon near the 2400 block of Baseline Road and broke the windshield. They say he assaulted multiple vehicles.
Police later took Carter into custody.
"Mr. Carter was uncooperative when police responded and asked him to put down the knife. When he charged at officers, a Taser was deployed unsuccessfully due to the layers of clothing worn by the suspect," police said in a statement. "Officers were then able to persuade Mr. Carter to drop the knife and he was taken into custody without further incident."
Police think he may have caused damage to other cars. Investigators would like to hear from those drivers or anyone who took video.
