Police Use Taser On Stabbing Suspect But See 'No Effect'

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Police believe the suspect in an early Tuesday morning stabbing in Aurora was on some type of drugs and wasn't affected when officers tried to use a stun gun to control him.

The crime happened at a home at 669 South Oswego Street, near East Exposition Avenue. Police responded to a report of a fight between roommates at the address.

When officers arrived they said they found two victims with stab wounds and the suspect still carrying a knife.

"Officers confronted the suspect and attempted to Taser him when he failed to follow commands," Aurora police wrote in a prepared statement. "The Taser had no effect."

Police say they eventually were able to get the suspect in custody. They said he sustained minor injuries in the process of being arrested.

The names of the two suspects have not been released. Both were described as having non-life threatening injuries.
