Police: Suspect Driver Arrested In Deadly Hit & Run

DENVER (CBS4)- Police have found the person they believe is responsible for a deadly hit-and-run crash on Monday night.

One person was killed in the crash at Colorado Boulevard and Interstate 70 about 7 p.m. Monday.

Investigators pulled the suspect driver, later identified as Tyler White, from the water of the lake in City Park where he allegedly ran to hide after the crash.

Police say White was speeding while driving a white Dodge Charger when the vehicle rear-ended a Toyota Prius. A woman inside that vehicle was killed.

Two other cars were involved and several people were rushed to the hospital.

Investigators say that's when White ran to a nearby gas station, flagged down a driver and got inside before that car took off.

They followed White to City Park where he was found in the lake. It is unclear whether alcohol or drugs were involved.

The victim in the crash has not been identified.
