Police Surround Colorado Springs Home On Disturbance Report

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say eight people have escaped a Colorado Springs home where a barricaded gunman is holding police at bay.

Police Lt. Brian Steckler tells the Colorado Springs Gazette officers were called to the home Friday morning for a disturbance. He says it is unclear if there is one more person still inside.

Police say the man was involved in another disturbance involving a gun several hours before officers were called to the home. Steckler says it is unclear if he still has a gun.

Photos from the scene show the home surrounded by police vehicles. Tactical officers are also on hand.
