Police Seek White Supremacist Gang Members Who Fled Parole
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities are searching for two paroled members of a white supremacist prison gang who removed their ankle monitoring bracelets.
Colorado prisons spokeswoman Laurie Kilpatrick said Friday that 36-year-old Dennis Simonton and 31-year-old Wesley Jones, of the Denver area, are being sought nationally as parole absconders. Kilpatrick says they are considered armed and dangerous and could be traveling together.
The men are members of the 211 Crew. The man who killed Colorado's prisons chief three years ago was also a paroled member of the gang who had removed his ankle bracelet. Authorities questioned other 211 Crew members after the killing, though none was charged.
Kilpatrick says there is no indication of a link between that case and the latest absconders.
Separately, corrections officials are also seeking 46-year-old William Wasilkowski, who is not a member of the gang.
