Police Seek Public's Help In Homicide Investigation

DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver hope someone will come forward with information about an unsolved homicide.

Officers rushed to the 5500 block of Xanadu Street, near the intersection of Maxwell Place, about 9 p.m. Monday.

Officers found the victim inside the home, Gervais Spencer shot to death. Investigators believe he was shot between 7:30 p.m. and 8:40 p.m.

Spencer's family told CBS4 they hope a Crime Stoppers reward will lead police to a suspect.

Spencer's wife said the 45-year-old was living in a Colorado Department of Corrections transitional home with seven other parolees. She believes someone living inside the home saw what happened.

"Gervais was a good man working hard to get his life together and loved very much, and I just can't believe no one knows anything," Lori Davey said.
