Police Search For Pregnant Woman Who Robbed Clothing Store

DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver searched for a seemingly pregnant woman who robbed a clothing store in Northfield on Tuesday morning.

Investigators say the woman, described as five to six months pregnant, robbed the Charlotte Russe store located between Uinta and Verbena at 8300 Northfield Blvd. about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspect went into the store, held up the employee at gunpoint and left in a silver sedan with no license plates. The car was driven by another person.

Denver Police spokesperson Doug Schepman says the lack of license plate should trigger suspicions with the community.

"Regardless of this person's circumstances they committed a crime and we want to solve that crime and make an arrest," said Schepman.

The employee of the store described the woman as a pregnant white female, 35 to 40 years old, 5-foot-5, wearing a black jacket, black pants, black beanie with sunglasses and a black bag. She also had a gun.
