Police Search For Owner Of Illegal Pet Lemur After Attack

NEDERLAND, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Nederland are looking for the owner of an illegal pet lemur who bit a girl.

The unusual animal attack took place on Wednesday afternoon on East First Street.

The girl, a 2 year old, wasn't seriously hurt.

Daily Camera photographer Matt Sebastian captured a photo of two men with a lemur recently, but it's unclear if that was the lemur responsible for the bite.

Police Chief Paul Carrill told the Daily Camera he wouldn't comment on whether the animal was captured.
