Medina Alert Issued In Hit & Run That Left Pedestrian Seriously Injured
DENVER (CBS4)- A Medina Alert has been issued in the search for the driver of a truck that crashed into a pedestrian and then sped away. The pedestrian was seriously injured.
The hit-and-run happened about 3:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the 2000 block of Alameda near Tejon Street.
The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
"One witness did attempt to follow the Chevy and that's why we have a good description," said Denver Police spokesman Doug Schepman.
Copter4 flew over the scene where police had blocked off the intersection during the investigation. Westbound lanes of Alameda were closed after the crash and reopened just before 5 p.m.
The pedestrian has not been identified.
Denver police tweeted out a picture of the suspect vehicle.

Police are asking for the public's help in locating a red over gray Chevy Avalanche-type vehicle with a possible Colorado license plate of 096-QZL. The vehicle was driven by a female with brown hair pulled back in a wavy ponytail. She had a male passenger with her.
"Gray trim on the bottom, possibly missing a hub cap on the driver's side or it's a rim that doesn't match," said Schepman.
The Colorado Department of Transportation broadcast the vehicle description on message boards around the Denver metro area.
Anyone who sees the vehicle or knows who may be driving the vehicle is asked to call police immediately.
