Police Say Man Killed In Lakewood Crash Was Speeding
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - A man is dead after crashing his car into a power pole in Lakewood early Sunday morning.
The crash happened just after 4 a.m. on a service road near 6th Avenue and Harlan Street. The crash sparked a fire that torched the car which was fully engulfed when emergency crews arrived.
The driver was found dead inside. No other people were in the vehicle.
Police said the man, whose name hasn't been released, was driving at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred.
Investigators will determine if drugs or alcohol played a part in the crash.
