Police Release Details About Hit & Run Suspect Vehicle

DENVER (CBS4)- Police have released new details about a hit-and-run suspect vehicle they hope will lead them to the suspect driver. The crash left a young woman seriously injured.

Amber Pennington was stopped at a red light near 66th Avenue and Federal Boulevard early Friday morning when a car slammed into her scooter from behind. The impact sent her flying to the side of the road.

Pennington suffered serious injuries, including multiple pelvic fractures, broken ribs, and a broken nose.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark blue sedan with significant front-end damage.

Doctors say the helmet she was wearing saved her life.
