Police Pursuit Follows Double Bank Robbery

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - A police chase on foot ensued after a bank robbery in Westminster on Saturday morning.

Shortly before 10:30 a.m. a male suspect walked into a Chase Bank on West 136th Avenue, just west of Interstate 25.

Police said the suspect passed a note to the teller, then took the money and left. There was no weapon displayed and no injuries.

Around 11:30 a.m. the same suspect robbed FirstBank on East Arapahoe Road in Centennial. He left in a white Chrysler 300 sedan traveling southbound on I-25.

Castle Rock police spotted the suspect vehicle driving on Highway 85 near the Outlets at Castle Rock mall. The suspect exited the vehicle and ran, initiating a police pursuit.

He was overtaken near the Outlets without incident and is in custody. His name hasn't been released.
