Police Officers, Fire Crews And Paramedics Conduct Disaster Drill At DIA

DENVER (CBS4) - Emergency training was held Wednesday at Denver International Airport.

Travelers saw police officers, fire crews and paramedics. There were also actors looking like they were injured.

"Collaborating with federal and local partners to develop a robust training program allows Denver International Airport to maintain the highest level of emergency preparedness and response," DIA's Chief Operating Officer Ken Greene said in a statement. "These relationships, and being able to collaborate effectively, are vital in order to effectively work together during a crisis. Information taken from this exercise will be used to enhance our emergency response plans and training."

DIA closed the pedestrian bridge at Concourse A for the exercise.
