Police: Man Arrested, Caught Taking Pictures Of Boys In YMCA Locker Room

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Colorado Springs arrested a man after he was found taking pictures of boys ages 16 and younger in the men's locker room at a YMCA.

Officers responded to the Garden Ranch YMCA in Colorado Springs at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday on reports that Robert Dolan, 72, was taking pictures of the boys in various stages of dress and undress with his cellphone.

Detectives with the Special Victims Section Crimes Against Children's Unit responded to the allegations and they completed a search warrant for Dolan's cellphone, computer equipment and electronic media located at his residence.

During the investigation detectives learned the suspect had been to that YMCA five times in the past week.

Additional warrants were issued on Friday to search the electronic media recovered from Dolan. He was arrested on the following charges: sexual exploitation of a child (production), sexual exploitation of a child (possession) and invasion of privacy for sexual gratification. Dolan will remain in custody on no bond until he goes before a judge.

Detectives anticipate there will be additional counts as they continue to examine recovered media. Officers are also trying to contact the parents of potential victims.
